MadhuriMadhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her roles in the movies 'Beta, Saajan', and 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!' The actress began her career in the 1980s , and gained fame with her part in the movie 'Tezaab', where she starred alongside veteran actor Anil Kapoor. The following time, she was in the movie 'Dil' which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into the Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing as a child. She began acting as young and struggled for a few years as most of her first films were failures. Then she found success and she went on to become a leading actress in the Indian film industry. She stopped her profession following her wedding and then returned to the entertainment industry. Dixit was also an integral part in the film 'Gulaab Gang,' which focused on the challenges faced by Indian women. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards she took home. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India. She is well-known for her social works as well.
